Innovate
KICI is and has always been a traditional garment collector, in addition to this description KICI has developed itself into a professional knowledge-intensive service provider whose values depend heavily on sustainability, transparency and innovation. KICI choosed to manage the natural and social environment responsibly.
KICI has organized its own department dedicated to finding new applications of used textiles which can be differentiated into wearable textile and non wearable textile.
For a traditional clothing and textile collector this is a remarkable development and as such a true commitment to sustainability and social concern. Throughout the years KICI has therefore proven to be a contributor to various new applications for non re-wearable textile such as isolation material in houses and the partial recycling of garments.
The latest development that KICI has initiated is the construction of garment collection bins, made of none re-wearable textile and clothing in a mixture of bio-polymers that are intended to support a so called ‘closed-loop-system” in which footwear, or specific clothing like bras can be returned to the original supplier for re-use or enter a second life. The specific logistic operation behind the principle makes the “closed loop” work. For this new concept KICI is working within the Benelux and partnering up with a Swiss organization.
KICI is part of the below described organizations focused on innovation, recycling and sustainability:
